How to Service and Repair a Hood Latch on 2001 Jeep Cherokee?

To service the hood latch, remove the screw that attaches the hood latch to the hood inner panel, disconnect the latch connecting rod, and remove the latch. For installing, reconnect the latch with the rod and stand it on the panel and reinstall the screw.
