2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Idle Control Valve Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Install the Idle Control Valve on the Throttle Body on 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
A: The IAC motor is found on the throttle body and you need to remove it by first removing the air duct and air resonator box from the throttle body, then separating the connector from the IAC motor e After that, take the IAC motor off the throttle body by first taking out the two bolts (screws) holding it in place. Place the IAC motor onto the throttle body and attach it with the two mounting screws tightened down to 7 Nm (60 in. Lbs.) torque. Afterwards, place the air cleaner or air duct duct on the throttle body and connect the connector again.
