How to Properly Maintain a Pitman Arm on a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

To maintain the Pitman Arm, loosen the cotter pin and nut of the drag link, and remove the drag link ball stud. Take the nut and washer out of the steering gear shaft, to be referred to. Install pitman arm, tighten nut and reconnect drag link using new cotter pin.
