2002 Chrysler Prowler Sway Bar Link Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Rear Sway Bar Link on 2002 Chrysler Prowler?
A: The first step to replace the rear sway bar link is to get the vehicle up and then insert a trim stick carefully into the wheel's center cap to pry it from the rim. After that, take out the rear tire and wheel from the side you need to replace the link on. Unfasten the nut that is holding the sway bar link to the lower control arm and then undo the bolt to remove the upper bushing. Pull the bolt and lower bushing loose from the sway bar, then lower the bar's end to remove the bushing from beneath the lower control arm. During installation, push your finger down on the sway bar and then fit the bushing in between the bar and the lower control arm. Put the lower bushing and bolt into the sway bar link and then put the upper bushing on the same link bolt. Attach the nut to the sway bar link bolt and set it to 30 Nm (265 in. lbs.). Assemble the wheel and tire back onto the vehicle and tighten the wheel nuts in half-specified sequence, then repeat the sequence to reach the full specified tightness of 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs). After that, insert the center cap into the wheel and let the vehicle rest on the ground.
