How to Service an Air Bag Control Module for Side Impact on 2002 Chrysler Sebring?

Before handling the Side Impact air bag Control Module, disconnect and isolate the negative cable at the battery's remote terminal. Now, remove the lower B-pillar trim on the needed side of the car. Remove the electrical connector from the Siacm, unscrew the retaining screws and after that, take out the module. First, put the Siacm in the B-pillar and then tighten the retaining screws to 10 Nm (85 In. lbs.). Reconnect the Siacm electrical cord and put the trim under the lower B-pillar back in its place. You should never connect the negative battery cable to the air bag system first, as you should always do a full diagnostic and test after installation.
