How to Service a Sway Bar Link on 2002 Dodge Dakota?

Upon service of the sway bar link, the first step is to lift the vehicle smoothly and securely. Unfasten and remove both the upper link nut, retainer and grommet from all the links and take off the lower link nut from each lower suspension arm. First, add the lower retainer and grommet to the links, next join the link to the lower suspension arm and sway bar. Face both ends of the links toward the front as you put in the lower link mounting nut and tighten it to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.). After that, fit in the upper link grommet, retainer and nut and tighten them to 37 Nm (27 ft. lbs.). Next, take away the support and carefully lower the vehicle.
