How to Service and Repair an Axle Shaft Seal for a 9 1/4 Inch Rear Axle on 2002 Dodge Dakota?

Start by taking out the axle shaft to service and repair the seals for a 9 1/4 inch rear axle. Following that, use a little pry bar to pull the axle shaft seal out from the final portion of the axle tube. Axle tube bore should be cleaned well to eliminate any remaining sealers or attachments. Grease the outside edge of the seal with axle lubricant, then follow the tool's instructions to screw it onto the axle tube with Installer C-4076-B and Handle C-4735-1. After that, reinstall the axle shaft.
