  A: Before servicing the front axle bearings and bushings on the C205F, set the transmission into neutral and lift the car on jack stands. Release the half shaft from its mount and, if yours has one, the skid plate too. Clean off the axle seal area and remove the O-ring from the axle shaft before you take out the axle shaft and seal. Insert Remover C-4660-A into the axle shaft bearing, tighten the nut to allow the remover to reach inside, then add the bearings remove cup, bearing and tighten the nut until the bearing comes out. Check the axle shaft tube bore for evidence of roughness and burrs and eliminate them as required. To install, wipe inside the axle shaft tube, add Installer 5063 and use Handle C-4171 to insert the new axle shaft bearing. Then, set and place the axle shaft seal using Installer X402 and Handle C-4171 before you fit in the axle shaft and half shaft.
