2002 Dodge Dakota Throttle Body Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Throttle Body on 2002 Dodge Dakota?
A: Galvanize by taking off the air duct from the throttle body before service or repair, Take out the electrical sockets for the throttle body from the MAP sensor, IAC motor and TPS. Next, take out the vacuum line at the throttle body and disconnect every control cable from the throttle body lever arm, following the instructions found in the Accelerator Pedal and Throttle Cable section. Take out the four throttle bolts and take the throttle assembly out of the intake manifold, removing the old gasket when you do. Before installing, clean the areas between the throttle body and the intake manifold and apply a new gasket. Install the throttle body onto the intake manifold and bolt it down with four bolts, tightening them to 23 Nm (200 in. lbs.) torque. Place the control cables, vacuum line and all electrical connections, after that return the air duct to the throttle body.
