2003 Dodge Dakota Throttle Body Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Throttle Body on 2003 Dodge Dakota?
A: Start by pulling off the air duct at the throttle body, then unplug the electrical connectors to the MAP sensor, IAC motor and TPS on the throttle body. After that, take out the vacuum line from the throttle body and remove all cables from its lever arm. When that's done, unbolt all four bolts holding the throttle body and take the throttle body from the intake manifold, removing the old throttle body gasket. Gather the throttle body, gasket and intake manifold. Clean, gasket and fit the throttle body over the intake manifold. Secure the device using the four mounting bolts and tighten each to 23 N.m (200 in.lbs.). Attach the control cables, vacuum line and electrical connectors next and put the air duct onto the throttle body.
