2001 Dodge Dakota Throttle Body Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Throttle Body on 2001 Dodge Dakota?
A: Take out the air duct that is next to the throttle body and then go on to service the throttle body. Release the electrical connection from the MAP sensor, IAC motor and TPS at the throttle body. When you set up the throttle body, first clean the connecting surfaces on the throttle body and the intake manifold, then use a new gasket between them. Afterward, join the throttle body to the air intake manifold with four bolts and tighten them to 11 Nm (100 in. lbs.). After that, run the control cables, reconnect the electrical wires and screw the air duct back into place at the throttle body. The set screw on the throttle body is factory set to its maximum and changing it will not change the engine's idle speed, as this is overseen by the PCM.
