2002 Dodge Durango Evaporator Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Replace an Evaporator Core in the Front on 2002 Dodge Durango?
A: You should first disconnect and isolate the battery's negative cable to change the front evaporator core. Unscrew the lower heater-A/C housing and take out the inside cover. Remove the front evaporator coil from its place in the housing. Slot the new coil into the heater-A/C housing at the bottom, then put together and put back the housing in the car. If the front evaporator coil is changed, pour 60 milliliters (2 fluid ounces) of oil into your car's refrigerant system using the particular type advisable for the compressor. Clear the refrigerant system and then put the refrigerant back in following the refrigerant system limit. The last step is to attach the black cable to the battery.
