2002 Dodge Durango A/C Hose Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Replace an A/C Hose in HVAC System for Liquid Hose on 2002 Dodge Durango?
A: First, you should disconnect and isolate the battery's negative cable before trying to replace the A/C hose/line. Take out the refrigerant from the refrigerant system. Detach the box that holds the engine air filter. Should it be needed, take out the bolts securing the servo mount to the cowl plenum and move the servo to remove the liquid line to evaporator coupler. Open the quick connecter on the metal tube going from the condenser and the one connected to the evaporator's refrigerant line. Pull the two fasteners out of the liquid line connections to the inner fender shield and lower the liquid line from the vehicle. With installation, slide the liquid line into the two clips attached to the inner fender shield. Get rid of all tape or plugs that are covering the fittings on the liquid line, condenser outlet and evaporator inlet. Link the liquid line to both the condenser and evaporator and then install the secondary clip, fixing the condenser fastener at 22.6 ± 3.38 Nm (200 ± 30 in. lbs.). If necessary, fix the vehicle speed control servo mounting bracket onto the cowl plenum panel and install the engine air filter housing as well. Attach the negative battery cable. Get rid of all refrigerant from the system and fill it up to the amount listed by the manufacturer.
