2003 Dodge Durango Evaporator Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Replace the Front Evaporator Core on 2003 Dodge Durango?
A: Before you change the front evaporator core, separate and cover up the battery negative cable. Remove the housing unit holding the heater-A/C from underneath the car and remove the cover. Pull the front evaporator coil up and out of its spot in the heater-A/C system. Install the new front evaporator coil into the bottom of the heater-A/C housing, restore all the components and set the housing back into the car. After installing a new front evaporator coil, introduce 60 milliliters (2 fluid ounces) of oil using only the recommended type suggested for the vehicle's compressor. Remove your refrigerant and attach the battery's negative terminal at the end.
