2002 Dodge Durango Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Install the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor on 2002 Dodge Durango?
A: An IMT sensor is placed in the intake manifold plenum, positioned towards the left side of the throttle body. Begin by unplugging the lead from the sensor and then take out the sensor from the machine's intake manifold. Always begin by separating the electrical connector from the IMT sensor and wiping clean the intake manifold at its base for the snap-in sensor type. Using light pressure on the plastic tab and rotating the sensor counterclockwise should remove it, as you check the O-ring. For this kind of sensor, install it into the opening in the intake manifold and tighten it to 28 Nm (20 ft. lbs.) before adding the sensor wiring again. With a snap-in type sensor, move the sensor about until you hear the snap and then gently rotate the tab.
