Always wait for the engine to cool, since the exhaust manifold, pipes and catalytic converter may burn you during operation. Start by lifting the vehicle, disconnect the wire connector from the O2S sensor and make sure you do not pull straight on the wiring leading to the part. Insert and use the oxygen sensor removal and installation tool to remove the O2S sensor. As the threading on the O2S sensor is factory lubricated with anti-seize compound, do not apply more. Screw in the O2S sensor to a torque value of 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.), then plug back in its wire connector before restoring the vehicle to the grounded position.
