2002 Dodge Durango Wiper Blade Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Change a Wiper Blade on the Rear Window on 2002 Dodge Durango?
A: Prior to replacement, the notched retainer of the blade should point towards the side of the wiper that joins to the rear motor shaft. To unlatch the wiper blade, press the tab on the top of the arm and raise it so it is straight up until it locks with the blade. Move the rear wiper arm up to pick up the rear wiper blade from the liftgate glass and slide the blade all the way to the pivot end to separate the pivot block from the tip of the wiper arm. Get the wiper hook out of the rubber section o top of the blade apart from the pivot pin/latch unit, so the spring cannot slap the glass and break something. Lower the metal part of the wiper arm down onto the window. Ensure you identify the notched retainer end when installing it. Pull the tab that holds the rear wiper blade mechanism until it is straight, then lift the rear wiper arm off the rear glass. Make sure the notched retainer at the other end of the wiper blade is aligned with the hook-shaped on the arm. Press the hook formation into the wiper blade superstructure and then fit the pivot pin into the hook until it is secure. Work the wiper blade pivot pin/latch into the rear wiper arm, lower the wiper onto the glass and step on the rear wiper blade retainer release tab until it clicks into place.
