How to Maintain and Fix a Harmonic Balancer and Crankshaft Pulley on 2002 Dodge Ram 3500?

Before starting any service or repair, first take off the accessory drive belt. After that, remove the four bolts from the counter-balance to crankshaft and pull out the damper. Look at the damper hub for cracks and change it if you spot any. If the lines on the damper hub and the inertia member are more than 1.59 mm (1/16 inch) apart, you should exchange the damper. In addition, make sure that the rubber hose is in good condition and not missing any areas. Put the crankshaft damper back in place and tighten the bolts to 125 Nm (92 ft. lbs.). After that, install the accessory drive belt.
