2002 Dodge Ram 3500 Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Install the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor on 2002 Dodge Ram 3500?
A: To remove the IMT sensor, located in the rear left part of the intake manifold, disconnect the connector from the sensor, remove the sensor and discard the O-ring on the sensor. Thoroughly clean the mount holes with some solvent, apply a new O-ring to the sensor and grease the sensor threads and the O-ring with clean engine oil. Then, attach the IMT sensor to the intake manifold and make sure the torque is 14 Nm (10 ft. lbs.), after that, connect the sensor's electrical connector back.
