How to Locate and Replace a MAP Sensor on 2002 Dodge Ram 3500?

The left/rear side of your intake manifold is where you will find the MAP sensor. To get rid of it, start by taking the electronic connector off the MAP sensor, then pull the sensor from the manifold and throw away the O-ring on the sensor. Before you install the sensor, be sure to clean the rust off its mounting hole, put on a new O-ring and coat both the O-ring and the sensor threads with some engine oil. After that, place the MAP sensor into the intake manifold and fasten it with a torque of 14 Nm (10 ft. lbs.). Only then should you reattach the electrical connector.
