How to Effectively Service and Repair a Vacuum Pump on 2002 Dodge Ram 3500?

In order to service the vacuum pump, remove the battery, drain pan and hoses. Disassemble the pump part, taking care not to decouple the vacuum pump and the adapter. Reconnect power steering pump, add a new gasket and screw all bolts tight. Lastly, attach the hoses, reattach battery, and fill the reservoir.
