  The first thing to do is remove the negative Battery Cables and slide a drain pan below the Power Steering Pump to catch any leakage. Disconnect the hoses from the vacuum and steering pump and from there remove the lubricating oil feed line attached at the underside of the vacuum pump. Following this, remove the lower bolt attaching the pump assembly to the engine block and then get rid of the inboard bottom nut and small bracket, ensuring all are taken out before you remove the pump assembly. Then remove the top bolt joining the pump assembly to the engine and, keeping the vacuum pump and adapter as a unit, move the pump assembly out of the car. Take out the three remaining power steering pump to adapter nuts and carefully lift the pump up from the adapter, being careful not to injure the oil seal in the adapter. Always place the two spacers in position before fitting the pump to the adapter for installation. Match the steering pump drive with the rim on the vacuum pump and insert the steering pump on the adapter without damaging the oil seal. Attach the three steering pump to adapter nuts and put off the lower inboard mounting nut and secure the nuts with 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.) of force. Put a new gasket on the vacuum pump mounting flange and hold it using Mopar Perfect Seal or a silicone adhesive/sealer. Attach the upper bolt of the assembly inside the mounting flange and the gasket; you can grease or seal it if you desire to hold it in position. Get the pump assembly close to the engine, place the upper bolt and tighten it slightly so that the assembly does not move. First, under the vehicle, attach the lower assembly bolt to the pump housing, then tighten all bolts to 77 Nm (57 ft. lbs.). Place the bracket around the steering pump stud inside your car and attach the remaining adapter nut to that stud, tightening it to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). Hook up the oil feed line to the vacuum pump connector, tighten it and attach the steering pump pressure and return lines to the pump. Once connected, tighten the pressure line fitting to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.). Attach the vacuum hose to the pump, reconnect any removed battery wires, fill the reservoir for the steering pump and get rid of any air from the steering pump lines.
