How to Service the Front Brake Disc on 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

To change the front brake disc, raise the vehicle, lift the wheel and tire off and remove the disc from the assembly. After that, remove the caliper anchor bolts to take the caliper and anchor out as one unit from the steering knuckle, securing the assembly with wire to a nearby part of the suspension but not using the brake line for support. Mark the disc and hub/bearing before you remove the disc, to keep their orientation correct. Take the retainers off the disc keeping it attached to the hub studs and then remove the disc from the hub/bearing.
