How to Service and Repair a Rack and Pinion Steering System on 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

In order to service the rack and pinion, center the steering wheel and remove the air cleaner housing. Drain the power steering system, remove lines and take off the column coupler shaft. Extract the rack and the pinion and re-install it with specific torque. Reassemble and refill power steering pump.
