How to Service and Repair a Rear Shock Absorber on 2002 Jeep Wrangler?

To service the rear shock absorber, jack up the vehicle and remove the top mounting bolts, the lower nut and bolt. Fit the new shock absorber with the bolts at 31 Nm on the top part of the shock absorber. Tighten the lower nut to 100 Nm when the vehicle is lowered.
