How to Service and Repair a Front Crankshaft Seal on 2003 Chrysler 300M?

Before handling the front crankshaft seal, take out the crankshaft sprocket. Then, carefully tap the dowel pin out of the crankshaft. Remove the crankshaft seal using Special Tool 6341A, without damaging either the seal surface of the shaft or the seal bore. Remove any varnish, dirt or indentations from the lip of the seal; polish it with a 400 grit paper if you see them. After using Special Tool 6342 to put in the crankshaft seal, put the dowel pin into the crankshaft so that its protrusion is 1.2 mm (0.047 in.). Next, place the crankshart sprocket back into position.
