When either the rear blower motor or blower wheel is defective, the entire unit should be replaced instead of replacing them individually. The first step is to take off the heater-A/C unit housing from the car. Separate the rear blower motor wire connector; it goes to the rear HVAC wire harness if you have manual temperature control and to a receptacle on the blower power module if you have automatic control. After that, unscrew the three bolts holding the blower motor to the rear heater-A/C unit and pull the blower motor and blower wheel out. Place the blower motor and wheel onto the outboard part of the rear heater-A/C unit housing, install the three screws and tighten them to 2 Nm (18 in. lbs.). Hook up the rear blower motor pigtail wire connector depending on your car's temperature control panel and then reinstall the rear heater-A/C unit housing.
