  When servicing the front blower motor, first remove the battery negative cable, isolate it and wait for two minutes for the air bag capacitor to discharge. To get to the blower motor, look for it on the passenger side under the instrument panel-you won't have to remove the HVAC housing. Start by taking out the side trim panel and cowl and place the carpet below to get to the screws holding the upper area of the intake housing in place. Erase the recirculation door actuator from the vehicle and disconnect the wire lead from the Blower Motor Resistor or power module, as per your application. Afterwards, take out the screw through the top that holds the lower air inlet housing to the upper air inlet housing and afterward, remove the four screws from the bottom holding the lower air inlet housing to both the lower HVAC housing and upper air inlet housing. Feed the rubber grommet through the hole in the lower air inlet housing, send the blower motor wire lead out of the opening and remove the housing from under the vehicle. Close the recirculation-air door completely. Then, carefully push it down to reach and remove the three screws connecting the blower motor to the bottom HVAC housing unit. Watch the alignment of the blower motor's mounting tabs before fitting it. Turn the blower motor how it needs to go and tilt it as required to access it fully. First, bend the air door on the recirculation air door to fit the blower motor and wheel into the lower section of the HVAC housing and then secure it by using three screws at 2 N-m (17 in. lbs.). Attach the pivot receptacle on the recirculation-air door above to the pivot post found at the fresh air intake opening of the upper intake air housing. Insert the blower motor wire harness connector through the lower intake air grommet and push the rubber grommet into place. Put the recirculation door actuator's splined output shaft into line with the splines of the housing, then insert the lower and upper air intake housings. The three screws underneath the lower intake housing should be secured into the lower half of the HVAC housing, tightened to 2 N-m (17 in. lbs.) and the same for the two screws you install on the upper intake air housing. After that, fit the wire harness for the recirculation door actuator into the molded clips under the lower intake air housing, link the connector for the blower motor wire harness to the blower motor resistor block or blower motor power module and place the instrument panel back in place.

  For rear blower motor service, you should first open the rear heater-A/C unit and remove it. Remember to follow the given safety advice. For manual operation, separate the rear blower motor pigtail wire from its connector; this connects to a take out in the rear HVAC wire harness, but for automatic controls, the pigtail should go to a receptacle on the blower power module instead. Then, take out the three screws holding the blower motor on the outside edge of the rear heater-A/C unit and remove the whole assembly as they are not designed to be serviced apart. Set the blower system on the outboard portion of the rear heater-A/C unit housing, install the three screws and tighten them to 2 Nm (18 in. lbs.). Connect the blower motor pigtail at the rear heater-A/C unit according to the system you have and finally, put the housing back into the vehicle.
