    A: To start working on the starter motor in an automatic car, first turn off the negative battery cable. Disconnect the air cleaner, then remove both upper bolts from the intake support. Hold up the car, then remove the oil pan support bracket. additionally, unhook the wiring for the battery, solenoid and bracket of the starter's intake support and use a socket to remove the starter bolts. Direction of the starter should be up, so align and attach it with the starter bolts. Place back the battery cable, the solenoid connection and reinstall the intake support bracket and the oil pan support bracket. Move lower part of the vehicle, put in the upper bolts for the bracket, then attach the intake box again before finishing.
