• Q: How to Service and Repair a Throttle Body on 2003 Dodge Neon?

  A: Before starting any service or repair on the throttle body, first detach the negative battery cable. After that, remove the cover of the air cleaner box and the air cleaner-just pull the element up over the rim inside the box. Shut off the power at the throttle body and then release the pressure clamp on the throttle body outlet tube. Unhook the bolts from the throttle body to the air cleaner box and slide the throttle body cam off. To install, put the cables into the throttle cam and then clip them onto the throttle cable bracket. Fit the throttle body into position on the air cleaner box and connect by tightening the retaining bolts. First, attach the clamp onto the outlet hose of the throttle body, then reconnect the electrical connectors to the throttle body. After fitting the air cleaner element just inside the box's hole, set the box cover on top of that and attach it with screws. After that, reconnect the negative battery cable.
