How to Replace a Rear Wiper Arm on 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

At the end of the motor output shaft, push down to raise the rear wiper arm pivot cover. Take out the nut keeping the wiper arm connected to the wiper motor shaft, lift the arm to its upright hinge and leave the wiper off the liftgate. If that is the case, grab a battery terminal puller and disassemble the wiper arm from the motor output shaft. Be sure to position the wiper switch in the Park position before starting the installation. Align the wiper arm with the motor's output shaft by placing support onto the park ramp and the tapered hole exactly above the output shaft. On the back of the wiper arm support, set the tab in place in the Installation Position on the liftgate park ramp and push the tapered hole down over the output shaft. Firmly tighten the nut on the wiper arm to the motor output shaft to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.), close the cover, lift the support off the park ramp and before placing it back in Park position.
