  A: No paint should come in contact with brake fluid during any Brake Master Cylinder service, since the fluid can damage the painted parts. You should start by taking off the connector on the brake fluid level sensor harness which is fastened to the reservoir. After that, separate the master cylinder brake fluid pressure sensor harness connectors. Go ahead and remove the brake lines from the master cylinder. Following that, loosen the nuts holding the master cylinder to the booster studs. Make sure not to tilt the master brake cylinder or the brake rod may come loose from the master cylinder. In the end, remove the master cylinder off the booster.
