2005 Chrysler Crossfire Brake Master Cylinder Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Brake Master Cylinder for LHD on 2005 Chrysler Crossfire?
A: First, unplug the brake fluid level sensor wire from the reservoir to perform service or repair of the brake master cylinder on left-hand drive vehicles. After that, take out the brake lines from the master cylinder by pulling the master cylinder brake fluid pressure sensor harness connectors. Take out the nuts securing the master cylinder to the booster studs, but be careful not to bend the master brake cylinder during removal so that the brake rod stays intact. After you have removed the master cylinder, go ahead and take off the O-ring. You should bleed the master cylinder while it is on a bench, next install the O-ring onto the master cylinder. Add the master cylinder to the booster and fix it in place by tightening the nuts to 20 Nm. Reattach the brake lines to the master cylinder and tighten them with a torque level of 14 Nm. At last, join the fluid level sensor harness connector to the reservoir and then carefully fill and bleed the brake system.
