  A: Take away the air cleaner housing, remove five EGR tube mounting bolts from the intake manifold and the EGR tube flange nut from the valve and lastly remove the EGR tube. Clean the gasket surfaces on both the EGR tube and the intake manifold, then get rid of the old gasket so that no lost dirt leads to vacuum leaks, a coarser engine speed and a drop in manifold pressure. For installation, loosely fit the EGR tube flange nut onto the EGR valve, put a new gasket over the connection where the tube meets the intake manifold and secure the tube bolts in place, tightening them to 31 N.m (23 ft. lbs.). Twist the flange nut of the EGR tube to 11 N.m (95 in. lbs.), install the air cleaner housing and ensure everything is connected properly.
