  A: Remove the air cleaner housing and, if necessary, empty some of the cooling system liquid to service the thermostat. Release the upper radiator hose, since the housing and thermostat can only be serviced together as a group. Next, undo the bolts holding the thermostat housing in place and get rid of the housing and the thermostat together with them. First, fit the basis to the thermostat frame, use a new o-ring and fasten the bolts to 10 Nm or 89 in. lbs. Connect the upper radiator hose again, fill the cooling system and start the engine to look for coolant leaks. Next, look at the coolant level and top it up if it's low.
