2004 Dodge Durango Cruise Control Switch Parts and Q&A
Q: How to service and repair a Cruise Control Switch on 2004 Dodge Durango?
A: Begin service of the cruise control switch by unplugging the negative battery cable, waiting 2 minutes and then discharging the capacitor to prevent the air bags from accidentally deploying. Once that's done, remove the air bag module and undo the electrical connector. Get rid of the mounting screw (1) for the speed control switch and remove the switch from the steering wheel. Place the switch on the steering wheel, insert the mounting screw and then tighten it to the correct torque as specified. After that, secure the switch's electrical connector, put back the air bag module and finish by connecting the negative battery cable to the battery.
