  A: Start by removing the negative battery cable and running off all the coolant before working on the timing cover. Uninstall the electric cooling fan and its shroud, then take out the radiator fan. Remove both heater hoses from the side of the timing cover and likewise the lower radiator hose from the engine. After that, detach the accessory drive belt tensioner assembly (1), crankshaft damper, the generator and A/C compressor. The 3.7L engine's front cover is sealed to the engine block with an anaerobic sealer instead of a gasket, so use Mopar Engine RTV sealant whenever the cover needs to be removed or replaced.
