How to Service and Repair an HVAC Pressure Switch on 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan?

Removing and disconnecting the battery negative cable is the first step to servicing and repairing the refrigerant pressure sensor/switch. After that, unplug the wire harness connector from the HVAC pressure switch and take the switch out of the fitting on the liquid line, throwing away the O-ring seal. Before placing a new rubber seal, first coat it with clean oil for the A/C system, install it on the pressure switch fitting and only use the specially made O-rings and the A/C compressor oil specified by the vehicle maker. Set the HVAC pressure switch onto the liquid line fitting, screw it in place, attach the wire harness connector to the switch and reattach the negative battery cable.
