- Q: How to Replace a Blower Motor in an Air Conditioning System on 2004 Dodge Neon?A: Before you replace the blower motor with air conditioning, disconnect the negative battery cable. Pull off the sill plate below the passenger door and shift the carpet away to see the blower motor at the right bottom of the HVAC unit. Unplug the harness from the blower motor, then remove the two screws holding the motor and remove the assembly from the HVAC housing. Set the blower motor inside the HVAC section and fix it with retaining screws, ensuring the torque applied is 2.3 Nm (20 in. lbs.). Secure the blower motor wire harness connector, lay the carpet back into position, attach the door sill scuff plate and then link the negative battery cable.
