- Q: How to Replace the Blower Motor in the HVAC Housing Without Air Conditioning on 2005 Dodge Neon?A: You should release the negative battery cable and disconnect the wire from the blower motor before replacing the motor on the bottom right of the HVAC housing. Hold the blower motor, push down on the locking tab, then move the blower motor about One-quarter inch counterclockwise to free it from inside the blower housing. After sliding the blower motor into the housing, turn it clockwise so that the tab snaps which only takes about 1/8 of a rotation. Next, attach the blower motor wire harness connector and once more secure the negative battery cable.
