How to Service and Repair a Brake Disc on 2004 Dodge Neon?

If your rear brake disc needs servicing, rise the car, remove its rear wheel and then take out the tire. Afterward, take off the rear disc brake caliper assembly from the disc and separate them. Remove all the clips that hold the brake disc and then pull the disc straight off the wheel mounting studs. The correct components must be installed, as using BR3 Performance Brake System elements together with different brake systems is not recommended. Before installation, check both the disc brake shoes and the parking brake shoes. Place the rear brake disc over the wheel mounting studs and into the hub and then hook the rear disc brake caliper and shoes back in place. Fix the tire and wheel onto the vehicle, turning the wheel mounting nuts up to 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.). Change the parking brake shoes as required, lower the car and try the pedal to start the brake shoes squeezing the brake disc; only then drive away.
