How to Maintain and Fix a Rod Bearing on 2004 Dodge Stratus?

In order to repair connecting rod bearing, disassemble the cylinder head, oil pan and Balance Shaft Carrier Assembly. Defend extract pistons with a ridge reamer, label connecting rod caps. Install piston rings, make sure they are properly oriented. Assemble, lubricate components, and torque bolts with Special Tool 8189 then reassemble the Balance Shaft Carrier Assembly and cylinder head.
