If the rear washer nozzle is ever taken out of the mounting hole, the check valve and one-time latch will be broken by the removal, so a new unit must be used to replace it. Hold a trim stick or other wide flat-bladed tool beneath the washer nozzle and slowly lift the panel away from the liftgate until the latch features pop out. Take the nozzle out until you can access and unhook the washer supply hose from the barbed end on the rear washer nozzle, then throw away what you removed. While installing, direct the new rear washer assembly to the outer panel of the liftgate and link the washer supply hose to the proper barbed nipple. Push the supply hose and nipple into the mounting hole and evenly press the hood of the rear washer nozzle until the latch locks behind the sheet metal of the liftgate outer panel mounting hole.
