Before tending to the rear windshield washer spray nozzle, always remove and isolate the battery's negative cable. Loosen and put aside the screws that attach the center high-mounted stop lamp (Chmsl) to the rear end of the liftgate. Move the liftgate outer section away just enough to be able to work on the Chmsl wiring and washer supply. Remove the wire harness connector from the Chmsl first, then unlink the washer supply hose from the barbed nipple of the washer nozzle and remove the Chmsl. Should you need to, take out and delete the two plastic retaining nuts that hold the liftgate inner panel in place. When installing, if you removed the old retaining nuts, put two new plastic ones in their place on the liftgate inner panel. Attach the Chmsl to the left side of the liftgate outside panel, attach the rear washer hose to the barbed nozzle and link the wire harness back to the Chmsl. Attach the Chmsl to the inside edge of the liftgate's outer panel and join it with the two screws, making them nice and tight.
