Before moving on, disconnect the end of the battery negative cable and take off the
Wiper Arms from the
Wiper Pivot pins. Open the hood and close the hood to plenum seal by pulling the seal between the forward area of the cowl grille cover and the plenum. Release the six plastic nuts (two short and four long) holding the cowl grille cover to the cowl top studs near where the windshield begins and then raise the left end of the grille off the cowl plenum panel to reach the windshield washer plumbing. Unhook the windshield washer hose at the connector and take the cover off the cowl grille from the plenum and top panels through the space between the hood and the windshield. On the under-side of the cowl grille, unhook the washer hose from each of the nozzle barbed nipple(s) or the wye fitting/check valve unit before removing them. Remove the latch from the underside of the cowl grille covering and after that gently push the nozzle out through the mounting hole in its location. The headliner washer hose for the rear washer nozzle plumbing cannot be serviced independently; only the whole headliner is. All other rear washer nozzle hoses are available for replacement with the check valve as an essential part of the rear nozzle unit. Use a trim stick or other wide flat-bladed tool to slightly pry at the edges of the rear washer nozzle and disengage the latches from the liftgate panel and then pull the washer nozzle away so you can disconnect the washer supply hose, before removing it from the liftgate. When installing, push the nipple of the windshield washer nozzle through the cowl grille cover mounting gap, guaranteeing the latches grab and then rehook the washer hose(s) to the nipple(s) or group fitting on top of the nozzle(s) and hook the other end of the hoses to their clips under the cowl grille cover. Place the cover over the cowl plenum and cowl top parts. Carefully lift the cover at the left end so you can reach the windshield washer plumbing, reconnect the supply hose and secure the cavity with the six plastic nuts. Insert the hood to plenum seal into the forward flanges, put the wiper arms onto the wiper pivots and attach the battery negative cable again. Hand the rear washer nozzle over the tailgate, put the hose end onto the mating barbed area and push the assembly into the frame hole on the nose which closes the latches.
