2005 Chrysler Crossfire Hazard Warning Switch Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Safely Service a Hazard Warning Switch with Airbags on 2005 Chrysler Crossfire?
A: To service the hazard warning switch, first turn off the air bag system on air bag-equipped vehicles by removing and separating the battery negative cable and waiting at least two minutes for the capacitor in the air bag to discharge. First, loosen the negative battery cable and afterwards, take off the center console cover. Take out the connectors from the center console switch harness and use your fingers to push in the locking tabs on the outer gang of switches. After that, push both hazard switch locking tabs down and remove the hazard switch from the center console cover. To install, slot the gray hazard switch into the center console hole and press it in order to activate the locking tabs. Lift up the center console cover, put in the outer gang of switches and press them to hold the locking tabs in place. After that, reconnect the switch harness. After that, fit the center console cover and attach the negative battery cable again.
