  A: Before servicing and repairing the front timing belt cover, empty the fuel pressure and remove the negative battery cable. Lift the car on a hoist, take off the accessory drive belt and also its tensioner. After that, unbolt the power steering pump and shift it aside and then take off the crankshaft damper. After taking out the front timing belt cover fasteners, drop the vehicle. Place a floor jack underneath the car to support the engine, then take out both the air cleaner housing and the engine's front mount. First, block the connection from the fuel line at the fuel rail and then remove the bolts on the top timing belt cover to remove the front timing belt cover. During installation, make sure the holes connecting the timing cover to the engine are clean and without oil, apply thread sealant to the timing cover bolts connected to the oil pump and clean any oil from the timing cover bolts onto the engine block.
