  A: Be sure to treat the speed control switch with care because it is connected directly to the Clock Spring under the air bag module through the steering wheel. Before starting, disconnect the air cleaner lid, the inlet air temperature sensor hose and finally the negative cable of the battery. Always switch off the ignition before getting started with the air bag. Once you've removed the air bag, unscrew the top screw and set the steering wheel at 6 o'clock to access and take out the screws on the backside of the speed control switch. Take away the switch by unplugging the electrical connector from it. During installation, plug the electrical cable in, install the switch with its rubber gasket placed correctly and tighten all screws to 1.6 Nm (15 in. lbs.). After that, insert the air bag, attach the vehicle's negative battery cable and finally reposition the air cleaner lid and inlet air temperature sensor and make-up air hose.
