  A: Before you service or repair the throttle body on a 2.4L Turbo, remove the negative battery cable first. Remove the connector for the inlet air temperature sensor and later remove the connectors for the idle air control motor and throttle position sensor. Take out the throttle control shield, then pull the throttle cable from the throttle body lever. Should your car have speed control, hold down the throttle button and slide the clasp on the speed control cable out of the hole for the throttle. You should remove the bracket after you have eliminated the 2 screws that hold it in position. Pull the inlet hose off the throttle body and also pull the purge hose so both are disconnected. Remove each bolt printer using the 1/4 wrench and then take off the throttle body. Clean out the gasket and replace it or have it replaced. To begin installing, clean the gasket and replace it, next install the throttle body using 3 bolts and tighten them to 11.8 - 20 Nm (105 in. lbs.). Link the purge hose to the end of the throttle body inlet hose and tighten the hose clamp properly. Install the bracket again, make sure the 2 screws are tightened to between 11.8 and 20 Nm (105 in. lbs.). If you have speed control, place the speed control cable into the hole beside the throttle cable and then attach the throttle cable to the throttle operating lever. Last, fit the throttle control shield, plug in and lock the cables for the idle air control motor and throttle position sensor, fit the cable back to the inlet air temperature sensor and plug in the negative battery cable.
