How to Service a Blower Motor on 2005 Chrysler Sebring?

Before fixing the blower motor, turn off the air bag system on air bag equipped cars by disconnecting the negative battery cable and waiting two minutes for the capacitor to empty. Take off the instrument panel silencer by reaching under the passenger side of the instrument panel. After that, remove the wire harness connection from the blower motor and then remove the three screws joining the blower motor to the HVAC housing. Take out the blower motor by carefully spinning and tilting it, so the blower wheel is free. Put the blower motor back into the HVAC casing and hold it in place by fastening the three screws to 2 N.m (17 in. lbs.). Get the wire harness back together with the blower motor, set the instrument panel silencer into place and reach under the vehicle to re-fasten the negative battery cable.
